The final public meeting for the Liberty State Park Circulator Cost-Benefit Analysis

The final public meeting for the Liberty State Park Circulator Cost-Benefit Analysis was held on Thursday, 9 May between 4:30 PM and 8 PM at City Hall, Jersey City, NJ. A formal power point presentation was made by members of the Sam Schwartz Engineering project team followed by questions and comments by the public. Again, there was irrational, misguided, and ill-informed fanatical resistance from Sam Pesin and his Friends of Liberty State Park to any restoration of track in the park. It did not matter to them that the track was proposed to be rebuilt on the exact footprint of the former Central RR of NJ main line, upon which trains ran to and from the Terminal for over 100 years... (Note: the CRR of NJ corridor is on the NJ and National list of historic sites.)
